How It Started
My introduction to home watch started here in Florida. My grandmother-in-law had a home watch professional who she relied on during her time away each year. Watching that relationship — the trust it built, the problems it prevented, the peace of mind it gave her — opened my eyes to this part of seasonal Florida living that is often overlooked.
Over time, while I was in town, I naturally started taking on the home watch duties myself. I learned what to check for during my visits, making sure everything was running as it should, handling things before they became bigger problems, opening and closing her home.
The importance of a home watch service hit me when I caught an HVAC leak dripping from her ceiling during a visit. Water was starting to pool in an upstairs closet and luckily I caught it in time before it soaked through the second floor. It was clear to me how bad the damage could have been if she left her home without care for months.
